Dr. Ira Rothstein

Being able to provide cutting edge orthodontic care to the community in which I grew up is amazing to me. I will always strive to provide the highest level of care to my patients, and strongly value the fact that orthodontics is a relationship based profession. Our patients should feel at home and comfortable, and we work very hard to provide them with a superior treatment experience.

I was born and raised right here in Hollywood, Florida along with my brother, Adam.  I have always loved South Florida, and while it was great to get away for a bit during college, I always knew I’d be back.  Meeting Dr.W, and now becoming a partner in this practice is a dream come true, and my wife and I are so happy to be able to live and work in the community we grew up in!

Education

After graduating from Pine Crest, I went on to Emory University where I received a B.S. in Biology. In pursuit of a dream to practice dentistry in South Florida, I came home to Nova Southeastern University for dental school, where I graduated in the top 5% of my class, scored in the top 1% on the national dental boards, and was admitted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society based on academic excellence and moral character. I also received my Certificate in Orthodontics and a Master of Science degree for my research on temporary anchorage devices

Continuing Education

I always tell people that I have never studied more in my life than I do now. While in training, this is something I never would have imagined, but now that I am out, my career has become more than just a job. It has become a true passion, and I love being an orthodontist. With that comes the constant desire to learn more, try new things, and be able to perform at the highest levels. In order to achieve these goals, staying up on the most recent literature, attending seminars and meetings, and most important in my  opinion,  constant collaboration with peers through various study clubs is essential. For these reasons, I maintain memberships in the following professional organizations.

Professional Memberships

  • American Association of Orthodontists
  • Florida Association of Orthodontists
  • American Dental Association
  • DEAL component of the Seattle Study Club
  • Spear Study Club
  • ITI study Club
  • Pinnacle Study club

Outside the Office

I met my wife, Lindy, after a mutual friend convinced her to come watch my team play basketball. Please don’t get any ideas…my talents do NOT lie on the basketball courts. After sharing a victory water-ice and some good conversation, the rest was history!  We are so happy to welcome our newest addition, Oliver, into our lives, and look forward to all that is to come!  When I’m not in the office, I enjoy playing guitar, running, relaxing at the beach, and although I’m a Floridian, my biggest passion is snow skiing!

I look forward to seeing you at the office and around town, and know that together we will make this the best orthodontic experience possible!
